Open Schools Program

What does it consist of?
It consists of the implementation of daily activities for a maximum of 20 days during the vacation period. The Open Schools modality includes food (SAE), safety and activities related to the areas that the program presents: Healthy Living Habits, Personal Development, Cultural Activities, study habits, among others. The activity does not include overnight stay.

What is the objective?
To enable access to participating beneficiaries to a recreational and educational space, promoting healthy lifestyles, good use of spare time and good coexistence, during their vacation period.

Who can access?
It is oriented to students who attend Kindergarten and Primary Education.

How is it assigned?
JUNAEB focuses on educational establishments, based on the School Vulnerability Index (SVI) and the National Assingment System with Equity (NASE).

 

School Retention Support Program

What does it consist of?
The School Retention Support Program is a Psychosocial support program that contributes to the permanence of students in the school system, thus allowing equal opportunities and creating protective environments for students belonging to the program.

What’s the objective?
To promote psychosocial tools that generate protective factors in students with socioeducational risk and/or in the condition of pregnancy (mother and father), in order to prevent school dropout through psychosocial support that develops socio-educational skills, promotes protective practices in establishments and active territorial networks. The intervention is preventive and promotional. And it is in charge of a multidisciplinary team (pedagogues, social workers and psychologists) that from interventions of group and individual type, carry out actions in the students and the educative community in order to prevent the school dropout..

Who can access?
Students, belonging to establishments focused, of the regions Arica and Parinacota, Tarapacá, Antofagasta, Valparaíso, Metropolitan, O’Higgins, Maule, Biobío, La Araucanía and Magallanes.

How is it assigned?
The program is installed in:
Communes and Establishments with high concentration of students in pregnancy, maternity or paternity, and high concentration of students with socioeducational risk.
Educational Establishments, prioritized by socio-educational vulnerability that have the Support to School Retention Scholarship (SSRS).

When is it assigned?
During the respective school year.

 

School Recreation Camps

What does it consist of?
It consists of the implementation of camps that are executed during the vacation period of the students attended. During this time, users of the modality enjoy lodging, food, transfers and recreational activities in a safe environment, and under the care of previously trained monitors.

What is the objective?
Enable the access of prioritized students to a recreational training camp designed to promote healthy lifestyles, rest, fun and reinforce their social and cultural educational development during the vacation period.

Who can access?
It is oriented to children and young people between 8 and 18 years of age, belonging to educational establishments focused by JUNAEB.

How is it assigned?
JUNAEB focuses on educational establishments, based on the SVI NASE.

When is it assigned?
Before each summer and winter vacation period.

 

 Healthy Schools for Learning

What does it consist of?
It consists of the implementation of promotional health activities through its three components: Physical Activity, Food and Healthy Nutrition and Oral Health, developed during the school period. The program intervenes in the most vulnerable establishments and is managed in collaboration and articulation with local health networks, installed in the establishments.

What is the objective?
Promote healthy lifestyles with a focus on the factors of physical activity, healthy eating and oral health in the educational community with high rates of obesity and vulnerability.

Who can access?
Students of primary education belonging to educational establishments focused by JUNAEB, giving priority to those students who attend nursery and primary education cycle.

How is it assigned?
JUNAEB focuses on educational establishments, based on the SVI NASE.

When is it assigned?
During the respective school year.
